Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science attends the first conference of Corporation of Military industries
Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science Dr. Thamir A. Al-Kadimi attended the first conference of Corporation of Military industries, under the auspices of the Minister of Industry and Minerals Engineer Mohammed Shia ‘Al Sudani and in the presence of the Deputy Minister of Planning Dr. Mohammad Hashim, and in cooperation with the Al-Motiqademoon General Trading & Contracting Co. Ltd. Which is authorized by international companies specialized in the military industries of the Ministry of Industry and minerals.
During the conference, which was held under the slogan ((building local industrial capacity in the field of weapons manufacture, a gate for security, stability and economic reform)) there was a presentation to review the possibilities and capabilities of the general military industries and companies affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Minerals Authority to revive the military industry in the Iraq, as well as a short presentation of ICOM US Company and its potential in the field of technology transfer and localization of encrypted wireless devices industry for the purposes of security, and a presentation of DDSV Croatian Company in the various military fields and possibilities of Czech MESIT company in the field of technology transfer and localization of wireless devices communications systems industry .
The conference outcome with a number of recommendations, one of them is the exception of corporation of military industries from the Implementing Regulations of government contracts for 2014 and instructed the implementation of the budget for 2015, similar to the Ministries of Defense and Interior, in addition to contracting with consultants from national experiences in the field of military industries for the purpose of benefiting from their expertise in support board of military industries and the implementation of its projects as well as the activation of cooperation with the Russian side through the activation of deactivated military licenses as it is projected and obtaining the approval of the prime minister to renew the cooperation.
