A workshop at Al-Karkh University of Science on the government program

Al-Karkh University of Science organized a workshop on the mechanisms used to follow up and implement the activities and projects of the government program, under the patronage of the Chancellor of the University, Dr. Thamir A.A. Hassan, and with the participation of Vice-Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Luay Kazim, the deans of colleges, and staff of the university.

The workshop included discussing the objectives of the program for Al-Karkh University of Science for the year 2020, which are: working on making the university classified within the international classifications, true twinning between Al-Karkh University of Science and rigorous international universities, reducing slack, spreading academic atmosphere, scientific research, university life, raising scientific levels, investing in expanding government colleges, and raising their academic and scientific levels by the Iraqi and foreign private sector.

The symposium also included, displaying the contributions of Al-Karkh University of Science in implementing these goals, through holding memoranda of understanding and cooperation with local and international universities, setting up courses and activities that contribute to developing university capabilities, implementing e-governance and connecting the virtual library, seeking to move to the e-learning system, applying the academic credit system, being classified into some international rankings, and publishing in approved certified journals.

The workshop aims to draw a roadmap for the implementation of 46 programs within 24 projects related to the government program of Al-Karkh University Science, and to prepare future plans to achieve them in a way that serve students and the higher education in Iraq.
