Within the framework of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week .. Al-Kharkh University of Science organizes an awareness campaign on addiction and the effects of drugs

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Kharkh University of Science, Assistant Professor Dr. Louay Kazim Abboud, and within the activities of the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, the Department of Media and Government Communication in cooperation with the Department of Student Activities at the university organized an awareness campaign on the effects of drugs and their use.

The campaign aims to increase cognitive awareness and protect the mind from being carried away by desires and psychotropic substances.

The campaign included hanging pictures that deal with the mechanism of the effect of drugs on the brain and nervous system, symptoms of drug abuse, the harms of drugs on the various body systems, as well as not taking any type of drugs, because addiction to them leads to dire consequences for human health, causing a disruption in the body’s functions and affecting mental and psychological health.

For its part, the university presidency stressed the importance of the awareness campaigns held by the university within the Iraqi Anti-Drug Week, as such campaigns contribute greatly to enhancing the culture of cognitive awareness.
