Al-Karkh University of Sciences Organizes a Workshop on the Mechanism for Submitting Academic Promotion Applications

Under the supervision of the President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences, Prof. Jumaa Salman Jihad, the Department of Graduate Studies, in cooperation with the University’s Continuing Education Center, organized a workshop on the mechanism for submitting academic promotion applications using the central electronic promotions system. The workshop was attended by department heads, sub- and central promotion committees, and university faculty members. The workshop was held at both of the university’s branches (Haifa and Abu Ghraib).

The workshop aimed to train department heads, sub- and central committees, and faculty members on the central electronic academic promotions system and its operating mechanism.

The workshop included a lecture delivered by university lecturer Asst. Prof. Dr. Khalida Ali Thajil, who addressed how the applicant for promotion can submit an application, as well as how to review the application and review the procedures and processes in the academic department, sub-committees, and central committees.

Attendees submitted questions and contributed to help overcome obstacles.

The lecturer, Dr. Khalida, explained that the committee will be operational one year after the issuance of the instructions.
