
Al-Karkh University of Sciences Participates in the Baghdad Tourism Capital 2025 Conference
Under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Al-Karkh University of Sciences participated in the Baghdad Tourism Capital 2025 Conference, which was held at the University of Baghdad. The conference was attended by the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, the Prime Minister’s Advisor, several ambassadors, as well as religious figures, representatives from the Popular Mobilization Forces, and several Iraqi universities.
The ceremony began with verses from the Holy Quran, a dedication to the souls of the martyrs, and the playing of the national anthem. The ceremony included a theatrical presentation on Iraqi culture, civilizations, personalities, and heritage.
The participation of Al-Karkh University of Science, represented by the presence of the university president and university staff, came in support of all national efforts aimed at highlighting Iraq’s bright image, appreciating Baghdad’s pioneering role in the Arab world, and enhancing the cultural and tourism image of the capital, thus elevating its status among Arab countries and promoting it as a cultural tourism destination.
This event is an important national and cultural occasion to highlight Baghdad’s cultural depth, the capital of tourism and culture, and strengthening its position in the Arab world.
The conference aims to highlight Baghdad’s cultural and historical depth and enhance its image as a global cultural and tourism hub. It also discusses ways to support sustainable tourism through scientific research and academic insights.
