A faculty member at Al-Karkh University of Science wins Nobel International Prize for Best Inventions and Golden Cup at the International Exhibition
The faculty member at Al-Karkh University of Science and the head of the Renewable Energy Department in the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences He received his teaching at Karkh University of Science and Head of Energy Prof. Dr. Gamal Hameed Wahib won the Golden Globe and Nobel certificate of international inventions at the International Exhibition of Inventions, held in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran.
The exhibition included scientific research on the design and establishment of a double cooling system to increase the thermal and electrical performance of the thermal and photovoltaic system by nanoscale fluid.
The aim of the research is to design and create a dual cooling system for photovoltaic cells to increase their performance, electrical, and thermal efficiency, using the front cooling system, which consists of creating a layer of water on the upper surface of the solar panel. This system starts working when the surface temperature reaches 50 degrees Celsius. In the rear cooling system, the aluminum oxide is rotated with various concentrations and flow rates in copper tubes installed on the back surface of the solar panel. The nanoscale liquid then enters in a small heat exchanger that contributes to the reduction of the temperature and the utilization of the thermal energy generated by the cooling process.
