A lecture at Al-Karkh University of Science on astronomical radio telescopes
College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University of Science organized a lecture on astronomical radio telescopes which was delivered by Dr. Kamal Mohamed Aboud, a Professor at department of Astronomy, University of Baghdad, in the presence of a number of professors of the University.
The lecture included addressing of the giant radio telescopes in the study and analysis of astronomical emission and solar storms of the sun, Mars and Jupiter, as well as studying the daily solar activity by monitoring the intensity of the radio signal in the frequency (1.42GHZ) and package (X-RAY), and the possibility of using the early warning system for solar storms which affects on the movement and accuracy of the information sent from the satellites, especially communications satellites and (GPS) satellites.
