A Scientific Workshop on Integrating Artificial Intelligence Tools with Nanotechnology at Al-Karkh University of Science
Al-Karkh University of Science, in cooperation with the Arab Association for Materials Science and Nanotechnology – Iraq Branch, organized a workshop entitled "AI and Nanotechnology Integration”, presented by visiting professor Dr. Samer Obais Abdulsada, teaching professor at La Trobe University, a University in Melbourne, Australia, with the participation of the Chancellor and the President of the Association, Professor Dr. Thamer Abdulameer Hasan Al-Kazimi, and a number of specialists and researchers.
The workshop aimed to examine the role of artificial intelligence tools in nanotechnology research. Dr. Samer touched on the possibility that artificial intelligence tools can assist in the understanding of the behavior of materials and their applications in various scientific and industrial fields by predicting results and providing recommendations and new ideas to researchers and engineers.
In an intervention, Dr. Thamer Al-Kazimi said that " the artificial intelligence tools can also assist in the improvement of nano-devices design, such as sensors, nanomaterials and new devices, by using machine learning algorithms to predict potential material properties under different conditions and suggest improvements.
