
A student representing Al-Kharkh University of Sciences at the activities of the Fourth Baghdad International Water Conference.
Student (Shams Muhammad Hamid), one of the students of the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences, Department of Renewable Energy Sciences, and one of the activists in the field of environment and awareness programs, participated to represent students in the dialogue session entitled (Benefiting from Partnership for Water Management Solutions).
The sessions were chaired by Mr. Salah Abdul Rahman from the United States Agency for International Economic Development, and included several axes presented by Dr. Ali Ayoub, a representative of UNICEF, Dr. Saddam Qahtan, a representative of the Ministry of Water Resources, and Mr. William Okio, a representative of the World Food Organization.
During the session, measures were discussed to reduce the risks of climate change and increase demand for water to increase climate adaptation projects through partnership and technology transfer, exchange of views on how to address water and environmental challenges, exchange of experiences, make recommendations, enhance efforts to achieve sustainable use of water resources, encourage sound management, and enhance the water sector, governance, and institutional financing.
At the end of the session, the session was opened for discussion and questions were raised for the attendees and answered by the researchers participating in the session.
