A symposium at Al-Karkh University of Science on geophysics application in the exploration of natural resources

  College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University of Science organized a scientific symposium on geophysics application in the exploration of natural resources.

  The symposium included explaining the magnetic method of determining the geological structures and its role in the exploration of natural resources, as well as explaining the role of geophysics application in the exploration of groundwater.

  The symposium aims to develop the exploration in the oil sector using different geophysics methods, and to identify the modern geophysics techniques that used in the detection of natural resources using researches of Iraqi academics and specialists.

  The symposium recommended the importance of activating the joint collaboration between the relevant Universities and relevant Ministries, and providing the scientific journals with researches, projects and studies of students specialized in this field, as well as seeking to prepare a geophysics database that collects all scattered information.
