A symposium at Al-Karkh University of Science on the applications of remote sensing science and geographic information systems (GIS)

  College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University of Science organized a symposium on the applications of remote sensing science and geographic information systems (GIS) in marine applications and digital maps in Iraq, with the participation of academics and specialists.

  The symposium included explaining the applications of remote sensing in the marine field, and the applications of GIS in the field of digital maps.

  The aim of the symposium is to build a sophisticated information network between the University and the experts of remote sensing science which will contribute to the service of digital and information systems in Iraq, as well as discussing the modern methods of remote sensing science and how to actually employ it in the marine, military and scientific applications.
