A symposium at Al-Karkh University of Science symposium on fighting religious extremism
College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, Al-Karkh University of Science organized a symposium on fighting religious extremism, with the participation of researchers and specialists.
The symposium included two lectures, the first lecture was about the promotion of the spirit of tolerance to eliminate terrorism ideology, and supporting the military operations with educational awareness campaigns. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Hazim Al-Attabi.
The second lecture was delivered by Dr. Fuad Haran, where he explained the influence of religious extremism thoughts on nationalism.
It was discussed during the symposium the ways of fighting extremism and revise the historical and religious heritage, and not to link the political conflicts to religion.
