A team from the National Monitoring Authority visits the laboratories of Al-Karkh University of Science

The Vice-Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Luay Kazim Aboud and the Dean of the College of Science, received a team from the National Monitoring Authority and relevant authorities, and a representative from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The visit included a review of the laboratories of the Department of Microbiology in the College of Science of our university with the aim of implementing a program to evaluate biological security and safety procedures in laboratories related to biological activities for the purpose of developing work and raising awareness for laboratory staff in the field of biological laboratory management.

At the end of the work of the team and the final report, the committee commended the level of awareness, training of biological laboratory staff, the level of the availability of preventive measures, and the efforts of the staff for the development of future work.

The committee trained biological laboratory staff on how to fill out the assessment form for biological security and safety for the purpose of identifying strengths and weaknesses.
