
A training program for the students of Al-Karkh University of Science in the East Baghdad Oil Field
The College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics at Al-Karkh University of Science organized a training program for third-year students at the Central Oil Company, one of the Ministry of Oil formations in the East Baghdad oil field.
The program included the visit of well (102) oil where the students were divided into four groups and each group consisted of (8) students under the direct supervision of a team from the Central Oil Company with a supervisor from the College. The follow-up and explanation of the various drilling (vertical and directional) as well as the exploration and oil production in the field were are completely done. The program included a lecture on the occupational safety of the work of the Iraqi Drilling Company in the drilling well (102).
For his part, Dr. Furat Ata said that the students received sufficient information provided by the experts working in the oil sites, the importance of the field geological laboratory, and the identification of the process of determining the oil evidence by different scientific methods, for the differetnt types of rocks.
