A Workshop at Al-Karkh University of Science on Air Navigation and Drones
The Chancellor of Al-Karkh University for Sciences, Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdulameer Hasan, organized a workshop on the use of drones and air navigation, with the participation of postgraduate students at the university, in cooperation with the Egnatia aviation flight training college
The workshop included a video conference with Captain Ali Raad, one of the Iraqi pilots at the academy, during which he explained the driving surfaces, the physical factors affecting flight, the use of physical techniques in the aircraft, and dealing with turbulence.
In his lecture, Dr. Thamer gave an explanation about drones, their types, topographical uses, and taking aerial photographs used to uncover the ground.
The workshop included as well an explanation of air transportation between control rooms and aircraft, navigational symbols, and practical training on the use of drones by the students.
The workshop aims to intertwine the theoretical study with the applied one, and to learn about the latest modern technologies in the field of remote sensing.
