The University’s Academic Promotions Committee is responsible for the promotion process for faculty members across the university’s departments. It receives their academic output, research, theses, and dissertations. The committee then reviews the opinions of experts and evaluators to determine the validity of these academic outputs. If the results are positive, orders for academic promotions are issued.

Duties of the Academic Promotions Committee:

  • Promoting academic promotion applications for faculty members seeking the title of professor to the Central Promotions Committee, after completing the requirements and in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Promoting academic promotion applications to the rank of lecturer and to the rank of assistant professor, after completing all requirements.
  • Following up on financial aspects related to financial entitlements for experts (evaluation fees) and sending them to them.
  • Organizing records, maintaining files, and recording information related to those receiving academic promotions.
