Since the establishment of Al-Karkh University of Science in 2014, the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department has been a vital department within the university’s organizational structure. It is responsible for managing human and material resources and providing an appropriate administrative environment to support the educational and research process. The department has evolved to keep pace with the university’s academic and administrative expansion, and its work is directly linked to the implementation of government and educational policies adopted in Iraq.
Department Tasks and Responsibilities:
First: Administrative Affairs
Human Resources Management: Organizing employee and faculty files and updating their job data.
Issuing university and administrative orders: such as appointments, bonuses, vacations, transfers, and terminations.
Monitoring attendance compliance: Organizing records and implementing the attendance and departure system.
Organizational Structure: Developing and updating the administrative structure of the university and its affiliated colleges.
Coordinating with ministries: especially the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Board of Financial Supervision.
Approving the university’s staffing and all its departments.
Completing promotions and bonuses on a regular basis.
Completing and following up on retirement procedures.
Second: Financial Affairs
Preparing annual financial statements: In coordination with colleges and units, and submitting them to the relevant authorities.
Financial Disbursements: Managing salaries, entitlements, purchases, and operating expenses.
Accounts and Reports: Organizing financial records and preparing periodic and final reports.
Ensuring transparency and compliance with government financial instructions.
Managing miscellaneous revenues related to the university presidency.
Following up and completing salary financing transactions, financial allocation transfers for newly appointed and transferred employees, political dismissals, etc., with the Ministry of Finance.
Our department reports directly to the esteemed Assistant President for Administrative Affairs. The organizational structure of the department according to the organizational structure approved by His Excellency the Minister.
