Al-Karkh University Council for Science holds its regular session

The Council of Al-Karkh University of Science held its regular session, headed by the Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Dr. Thamir A. A. Hasan, in the presence of Vice-Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs, the deans of colleges, and a number of heads of scientific and administrative departments.

The session included a discussion of several decisions and several issues, such as the requirements for opening specialized colleges and scientific departments, including preparing the necessary infrastructures, laboratories and equipment, as well as discussing the visions and plans of the college deans in the coming period.

The Chancellor of the University said during the session that the university’s strategic plan aims to establish colleges and departments with rare scientific specializations that serve the labor market and meet the needs of state departments, institutions, and the private sector.

He added, that the establishment stage was accompanied by many obstacles that we were able to overcome and we have achieved success at the academic, scientific, and social levels.

He praised the efforts of the Vice Deans in managing their colleges during the last period, stressing that the general evaluation of the staff and the teaching staff is based on their exerted efforts.
