Al-Karkh University of Science completes its readiness to start the new academic year 2016 – 2017
Al-Karkh University of Science has finished its preparations to welcome its students with start of the new academic year 2016-2017 at its college of Remote Sensing and Geophysics.
The chancellor of the University Dr. Al-Kadimi stated that “the University has already started a big campaign to welcome students with the start of the new academic year, where all the University departments put forth the efforts and means to provide the required supplies starting from the campus, the parks in addition to clean-up campaign, as well as furnishing other departments that concerned with students from classrooms, the central library, laboratories, etc.”, adding ” The strenuous efforts made by the University presidency and its employees have yielded formal approval at the opening of the college” noting that “the specialization offered by the University of rare specialties in the country and came according to a study of the need for the Iraqi labor market for these specialties which hopefully contribute to advancing scientific and technological progress in Iraq. ”
It is worth mentioning that Al-Karkh University of Science is one of the formations at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, which was founded in 2014 as one of the relevant public Universities in Iraq, which is located in Al-Karkh side, in one of the previous presidential palaces (Hamada Palace), overlooking the Tigris River, and it is hoped that the University will open new colleges next year.
