Al-Karkh University of Science held an educational symposium on Corona virus

Al-Karkh University of Science held an educational symposium on acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), or what is known as the Corona virus, its causes, symptoms and ways to prevent it, with the participation of researchers and specialists from the faculty members of the university.

The symposium included a lecture given by Dr. Mustafa Abdel Hussein, Head of the Department of Microbiology in the College of Science at the University, and Dr. Rafif Youssef Rashid, the Faculty member in the Department of Microbiology in the college, where she gave an explanation of Corona virus, its causes, clinical symptoms, infection control procedures, transmission methods and treatment plan through drinking large quantities of fluid as well as having vitamins and antibiotics to fortify the immune system of the human body. It is also recommended to clean the hands well, wear a muzzle, avoid anyone infected by the disease and not to touch contaminated surfaces.

The lecture showed the symptoms of the virus, which include acute respiratory infection with fever, cough, shortness of breath, acute pain in the chest area, as well as pneumonia and acute diarrhea. If the people suffer from kidney failure, this will lead to fatal results.
