
Al-Karkh University of Science is looking for Prospects for Joint Cooperation with the Ministry of Environment
The Chancellor of Al-Karkh University for Sciences, Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdulameer Hasan, received a delegation from the Ministry of Environment represented by Mr. Munir Abbas, Associate Director of the Department of Sustainable Development, Ms. Maysoon Sabr Ibrahim, Director of the Development Department, and Ms. Ghada Ghazi from the Development Department, in the presence of the Assistant Chancellor of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Assistant Dr. Louay Kazem Abboud.
During the meeting, they discussed a draft of the mechanism for joint scientific and academic cooperation between Al-Karkh University of Science and the competent departments in the Ministry of Environment in the fields of environmental safety and biodiversity.
The Chancellor of the university said that "the university has been seeking, since its establishment, to achieve fruitful cooperation between state departments, including the Ministry of Environment, the exchange of experiences, the benefit from scientific and research energies, and the solidarity of national capabilities to contribute to the scientific progress of our dear country".
The Chancellor of the university has referred to the desire of Al-Karkh University of Science to organize a memorandum of scientific cooperation mechanism with the technical department in the Ministry of Environment to consolidate the principle of participation in the state's plan for sustainable and comprehensive development, in a manner that does not conflict with relevant legislation.
For his part, Mr. Munir Abbas expressed his happiness with this initiative, stressing the Ministry's full readiness to cooperate with Al-Karkh University of Science, through scientific consultations and investment of its students, and to put all the scientific and material capabilities of the Ministry in the service of the university and scientific research in order to localize modern and advanced scientific technology in common specializations.
