Al-Karkh University of Science opens horizons of cooperation with Darmstadt University of Germany
Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Dr. Thamir Abdul Ameer Hasan, discussed the possibility of twinning Al- Karkh University of Science with University of Darmstadt of Germany during a meeting with Professor Schott in Germany.
The meeting included the preparation of a memorandum of understanding draft between the Deanship of the Applied Geosciences Institute and the Deanship of college of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, as well as the approach of German DAD organization to provide support and training for students and teaching staff of Al- Karkh University of Science.
Dr. Thamer said that the German Applied Geosciences Institute is one of the institutes that grand bachelor's, master's and PhD degrees in geology, remote sensing and environment.
He added that there will be another meeting with the President of Darmstadt University to discuss the twinning of the two Universities and the preparation to sign a memorandum of understanding on cooperation and cultural and scientific exchange between the two countries.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Karkh University of Science had visited the German Universities of (Aachen) and (Bonn). The delegations' meetings result in opening the horizons of cooperation to serve the University and its colleges.
