Al-Karkh University of Science organizes “ A Day for Iraq” voluntary campaign
Under the slogan “ a day for Iraq”, a voluntary campaign was launched by the University staff. The campaign included the completion of the shortage of the buildings and apartments at Hamada palace; the University Presidency, like cleaning the rooms and dying the doors and windows. The participants confirmed that their volunteering to work on Saturday is coming from their love to Iraq and their belief that Home is protected by its sons and that the University which forming a scientific felicity that produces knowledge and makes men leaders, need us to put more efforts and take responsibility for creativity.
The campaign started with the National Anthem. Then reading Al-Fatihah, and dedicating it to the souls of Iraq’s martyrs. All the University staff participated in this campaign under the leadership of the University Chancellor who praised their efforts, assuring that such initiatives are the beginning of fighting corruption and that the campaign is nothing comparing to the sacrifices made by the security forces in the battlefield who vowed their blood to defend Iraq’s territory and its people. On the other hand, the participants hoped that the public and private sectors institutions would take these initiatives as a good example of altruism.
