Al-Karkh University of Science organizes its first cultural festival

  Al-Karkh University of Science organized its first cultural festival which was held under the slogan “the nation of read … reads”, with participation of the teaching and non-teaching staff and the students.

  The festival included a number of cultural, scientific and artistic activities including the opening of book fair,  where department of cultural relations at the Ministry of Culture and AS Media for publishing participated in it,  establishing a Bazaar  and an exhibition of painting and calligraphy to support the victories of the popular crowd and the security forces  in the battle fields.

  For his part, the Chancellor Dr. Thamir A. Hassan said “the establishment of such cultural festivals will reflect positively on society in general and the individual in particular. It is an attempt as well to motivate the students to read and be benefit from the content of these books, as well as of being a mean that will serve the students in their careers and their professional and cultural future.

  The aim of this festival is to spread the culture of reading, sharing the scientific experiences and highlighting the students’ creativity in the cultural and artistic fields.
