
Al-Karkh University of Science organizes its first job fair for graduates of the College of Science.
Under the patronage of the President of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Juma Salman Jihad, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Jaafar Fadhel Awda, a job fair for graduates of the College of Science was held at the University’s second campus (Abu Ghraib). The event was attended by the President of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Juma Salman Jihad; the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Kadhim Hilan Mohsen; the Director of Studies and Planning at the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Institute, Brigadier General Hatem Mohsen Sharif; the Director of the Anti-Narcotics Training Center, Brigadier General Ammar Sabah Abdul Wahab; and numerous other dignitaries, faculty members, staff, and students.
The exhibition included a recitation of the Holy Quran and Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs, and a speech by the University President. In his speech, Prof. Jumaa Jiyad emphasized the need to integrate College of Science graduates into the labor market and provide them with job opportunities in both government and private sector institutions. He also emphasized the need to develop their skills and coordinate with the private sector, depending on the specialization from which they graduated.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Jaafar Fadel, also spoke, emphasizing the University President’s statement regarding the need to create job opportunities for graduates from the College of Science in general, and graduates of the Department of Medical Physics in particular.
The exhibition also included several lectures. The first featured the Human Resources Director at MTECH Modern Technologies Company, reviewing the company’s most significant achievements and affirming the company’s willingness to employ graduates of the College of Science at our university. The second lecture, delivered by Dean of Law, Ammar Sabah Abdul Wahab, discussed the Drug Control Training Center’s readiness to hold workshops and seminars through joint cooperation between the two parties. The aim is to familiarize the public with the center’s mission and provide training. He extended an invitation to visit the center to observe its work mechanisms and the tasks it performs. The remaining lectures were delivered by a group of College of Science graduates from various disciplines. They discussed their work in the private sector, how they faced difficulties and challenges, and overcame obstacles. They also discussed how these challenges contributed to building their academic and professional personalities, which honed their skills in their fields of work.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the lecturers were honored by the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Odeh, with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their efforts in making this exhibition a success. He wished them success in their academic and professional careers.
