Al-Karkh University of Science participates in the first international scientific conference on exploration research

A delegation from Al-Karkh University for Science headed by the President of the University, Dr. Thamir Abdul Amir Hassan, participated in the first international scientific conference for exploration research, which is being held by the Ministry of Oil – Exploration Oil Company under the slogan "Exploration and its role in maximizing the hydrocarbon resources of Iraq and compensation for attrition" in 22 November, in the presence of a number of specialists, academics and prominent figures.

The participation included a joint scientific research by Dr. Furat Atta Al-Moussawi, Dr. Rami Mahmoud and Dr. Amani Loay, on the reservoir properties and distribution of the composition in the field of Rtawi oil in southern Iraq.

The research included the establishment of sedimentary and reservoir models for the formation of the supervisor in southern Iraq through the use of electric modules and the use of the seismic depth plan.

The objective of the research is to identify the reservoir properties and the units produced in the supervisor component, determine the insulating layers and the direction of their strength, analyze the sedimentary basin, and understand the direction of the change of the loads.

It is noteworthy that the conference included several features, the most important of one is the geology of exploration, the interpretation of seismic data, the focus of modern techniques in the characterization of the reservoir, and the discussion of refining exploratory oil studies, according to international standards.
