Al- Karkh University of Science Participates in the Middle East Dialogue Conference for Research and Innovation

Dr. Thamir A. Hasan, President of Al-Karkh University of Science, participated in the conference of the Middle East Research and Innovation Dialogue (MERID), held on the Iranian island of Kish, under patronage of the European Union, during the period from 19 to 21 of October 2018.

 

Prof. Dr. Thamir said that the conference was part of the € 80 billion EU-funded Horizon 2020 program and the € 1 million project of higher education, research and innovation. The conference is the cornerstone of the dialogue of education, research and innovation leaders in the world.

 

He added that Al-Karkh University Science is about to join the Erasmus program, which adopts cultural and scientific exchange between universities, graduate programs, and grants of the European Union.

 

Prof. Dr. Thamir stressed that the university is determined to have an international presence in the conferences of the development of higher education as an extension to its previous achievements in international participations when the university was awarded gold medals for patents with international classification.

 

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Thamir A. Hasan represents the university in the conference with a statistical paper for international patents, at the ministries level in general, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in particular.
