Al-Karkh University of Science paves a sacred way for a spectacular course for students meeting parties
The Department of Student Activities at Al-Karkh University of Science organized a students meeting party for the students of the first year of the College of Science among the Beloved of God in Al-Imamain Al Jawadin Mabarat [Orphanage]. The Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Thamir A. Hassan, said in a speech during his attendance in the event: “I welcome this blessed step in strengthening the social solidarity and in establishing a new way of honoring students meeting parties that reflect and reinforce the principles of integrity of the university students and its human interaction.”
He added that "the ideal society is the one where the principles of social solidarity and equality system are achieved. This is achieved today in the light of human awareness and the good initiative of university students." He called on Iraqi universities to follow this path.
He also praised the efforts exerted by the orphanages and wished to see the presence of such orphanages in other regions to include all areas of Iraq to serve Iraq and its people.
For his part, Mr. Zaid Al Hussein, Director of Relations and Information at the Charity Association, expressed his happiness with this initiative, which establishes the principle of social solidarity, stressing that the care of orphans is not only the provision of food, housing, and drink, but it is the availability and realization of the principle of equality and social solidarity and most importantly integration with the society to fill the emptiness of the loss of the parents in the lives of the orphans.
At the end of the event, the Chancellor of the University honored the distinguished students. The event also ended with the distribution of gifts to the children in an atmosphere where the good souls met to spread good and kindness. The students expressed great satisfaction for this human interaction and asked the university administration to adopt this model to make it a regular custom to follow at the university.
