
Al-Karkh University of Science signs a cooperation agreement with Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Comprehensive University
With the aim of enhancing and developing scientific, academic and research cooperation, Al-Karkh University of Science, represented by the University President, Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kadhimi, and Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Comprehensive University in the Islamic Republic of Iran, represented by the University President, Dr. Mohammad Reza Hassani Ahangar, signed a joint scientific cooperation agreement that encourages student and academic exchange between the two parties on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.
The agreement includes the exchange of students for study and scientific research, the exchange of academic staff for the purposes of education and research, holding seminars, research projects, conferences and other joint scientific activities, as well as bilateral cooperation to advance the two universities in global rankings, in addition to holding joint cultural and scientific activities in various fields.
The President of Al-Karkh University for Science, Prof. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kazemi, said during the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement: The importance of the agreement with Al-Hussein University lies in seeking to raise the classification of Al-Karkh University for Science, and opening horizons for scientific exchange and cooperation with international universities, especially universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and establishing a real partnership that works to develop scientific and research capabilities, explaining that scientific cooperation under this agreement guarantees the two parties the organization of joint scientific events and programs.
For his part, the President of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) Comprehensive University, Dr. Muhammad Reza Hassani Ahangar, welcomed the President of Al-Karkh University for Science and his accompanying delegation, praising the level of education in Iraq and the entry of Iraqi universities into international classifications at the level of global publishing.
The two parties agreed to sign executive programs based on the desire of the two parties according to the capabilities available to them to determine the mechanisms and details of implementing the provisions of this agreement, in addition to the two parties’ pledge to provide support to the persons participating in the work programs by providing them with the information and facilities required for cooperation in accordance with the laws in force in both countries.
worth to mention that Imam Hussein University was established in 1986 in Tehran, and includes 15 colleges and institutes and 70 scientific and technical centers, and all professors and students of the university work in the field of training, research, investigation, and providing advice to managers and presenting their experiences to industrial centers and governmental organizations.
