Al-Karkh University of Science signs a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Technology
Al-Karkh University of Science has concluded a memorandum of scientific and academic cooperation with the University of Technology, which is the first step of the consultative meeting held between the universities of the capital, Baghdad, in order to achieve fruitful cooperation between the state departments, exchange experiences, benefit from scientific and research energies, and reinforce national capabilities for the scientific progress of our dear country and for supporting the students to be in a professional level.
The Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Professor Dr. Thamir A. A. Hassan, said that the conclusion of the scientific memorandum with the University of Technology is a part of the strategic plans that the university has set for the coming years to expand the horizons of joint scientific cooperation between the two universities, and in implementation of the directives of His Excellency the Honorable Minister to achieve true twinning between Colleges and universities, and to consolidate scientific and cultural relations. This contributes to the development of the educational process and the movement of scientific research in the scientific and research fields.
Prof. Dr. Thamir explained that the Memorandum of Understanding included six items and several aspects. The most important ones are exchanging scientific consultations in the fields of joint specializations, benefiting from the laboratories on both sides through conducting joint scientific research, and involving researchers from both parties in the consultative side and setting up courses.
He pointed out that the memorandum included scientific cooperation in the field of training and modern and advanced scientific technologies in the joint competencies of both parties, and the pursuit of joint research between the two parties to serve the scientific process.
For his part, the Chancellor of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Ghabban, expressed the prepration of the two sides in implementing the frameworks of this memorandum, in a way that contributes to make the two universities play a vital role in the scientific and research fields.
