Al-Karkh University of Science signs a partnership agreement with the Italian University of Siena
Al-Karkh University of Science, represented by the Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Thamir A. A. Hassan, signed a partnership agreement with the Italian University of Siena, represented by Professor Dr. Francesco Fratti, for the purposes of scientific and administrative cooperation and exchange of expertise.
The agreement signed between the two parties includes opening the horizons of scientific and administrative cooperation, represented by holding training courses via the Internet, scientific exchanges between the two parties, a training program for trainers regarding international relations strategies and the global access strategy for universities, capacity-building activities in addition to governance practices to develop higher education.
The Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr. Thamer A. A. Hassan, said that the partnership agreement with the University of Siena lies in its importance in seeking to work on internationalizing Al- Karkh University of Science, and on opening the horizons of exchange and scientific cooperation with the universities of the European Union, especially Italian universities.
It is worth mentioning that the partnership agreement is part of the European INsPIRE program sponsored by the Erasmus program, where Al- Karkh University of Science is a key partner in this program, which was launched last year in the Italian city of Siena, with the participation of a number of Iraqi universities under the direct supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
