Al-Karkh University of Science site makes progress in the Global Webometrics Ranking
Al-Karkh University of Science jumped six positions to be 57 in the World Web Ranking after it entered the university's website last year and was ranked 63rd.
This is based on the Cyber Metrics Lab (CCHS), a unit of the National Research Council (CSIC) in Madrid, Spain, known as the Web Metrics Ranking of World Universities.
This ranking began in 2004 with the ranking of 16000 universities. This classification is primarily aimed at urging the academic institutions in the world to present their scientific activities that reflect their distinguished scientific level on the Internet. It is not a ranking or classification of universities, but is an arrangement for the university website. This classification is done in January and July of each year, and is based on measuring the performance of universities through their websites within the following criteria (size – reference to research – general effect).
