The ceremony included the performance of all university students the ceremonies of visiting Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him), the recitation of the graduation oath, the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, and then the reading of Surat Al-Fatihah, out of mercy for the souls of the righteous martyrs of Iraq.
The graduation oath of loyalty and honesty to serve the nation and humanity was chanted in front of the shrine of the shrine of the Mawla Abi Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), delivered by a member of the Board of Directors of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine, Dr. Abbas al-Musawi.
Previously, students flocked to visit the shrine of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), and then went to visit the shrine of Aba Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him), passing through the area between the Two Holy Mosques.
Dr. Thamer said that "Al-Karkh University of Science is keen to prepare graduates to be tools for the reconstruction of Iraq, by arming them with useful science, preceded by building a person, and preparing him to be beneficial to himself, his society and his country".
He added, "We appreciate the efforts of the al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine for the distinguished preparation of this ceremony, stressing that the University of Karkh is keen to have university graduation ceremonies, reflecting the nature of Iraqi society, and far from manifestations that offend Iraqi society in general and university students in particular".
