
Al-Karkh University of Sciences holds a charity bazaar for handicrafts and arts
In conjunction with the World Entrepreneurship Week, the Student Activities Department, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division at Al-Karkh University of Sciences, organized a charity bazaar dedicated to handicrafts and arts, at the university’s second site in Abu Ghraib, with wide participation from students, professors and local artists.
The bazaar aims to support people with special needs and the poor, in addition to providing an opportunity for participants to display their artistic and craft products that represent aspects of local culture and heritage.
The exhibits in the bazaar varied between various handicrafts such as crafts made of wood, textiles, and pottery, in addition to paintings and decorative pieces created by students and employees.
The bazaar also included many traditional foods and drinks prepared by students, which added an atmosphere of enthusiasm and fun to the event.
The organizers of the bazaar confirmed that holding this bazaar reflects the university’s commitment to providing platforms that allow students and the local community to display their creativity, and encourage them to contribute to charitable initiatives that benefit the community.
The bazaar was met with great interest from visitors, who expressed their admiration for the level of craftsmanship and creativity that appeared in the exhibits.
This event comes within the framework of Al-Kharkh University of Science’s keenness to enhance its role in serving the community and developing the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among students and members of society.
