Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science discusses with the Ministry’s Representatives the project of exchanging experiences, development and training with Darmstadt University of Technology

  Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Dr. Thamir A. Hassan and the German delegation from Darmstadt University of Technology represented by Professor Christophe Schott and the Iraqi Ph.D. student Laith Sahib, visited the Ministry Counselor for educational affairs Dr. Salah Abdul-Qader al-Nuaimi, the Director of the Department of Research and Development Dr. Ghassan Hamid Abdul Majeed and The Deputy of the Ministry for technical Affairs Dr. Fouad Qassem, to discuss the University's futuristic plans and ways of scientific collaboration between the two Universities.  

  The Chancellor reviewed during the meeting the University plans and how to make the best use of this collaboration with the German Universities, clarifying that the University always seeks to be on the same level with its counterparts Universities outside Iraq, and to support as well the Iraqi labor market. He added "we are moving towards promoting the educational process in Iraq through adopting the international standards of education, and with the blessing of his Excellency the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Jalil al-Issa".

  On the other hand, the German delegation expressed their readiness to collaborate with Al-Karkh University through delivering online courses by the professors of Darmstadt University to the students of Al-Karkh University, and the possibility of sending the top graduates students of the University in a scholarship to German Universities.
