Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science receives a certificate of appreciation from Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies

  Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Prof. Dr. Thamir A. Hassan received a certificate of appreciation from Al-Nahrain Center for Strategic Studies in recognition of its efforts in presided over the first session of the Second International GIS and Geospatial Technologies conference.

  The conference aimed to demonstrate the potential of Iraqi institutions in the field of geographic information and geospatial technologies, and build a partnership between the private sector and the institutions concerned in the field of information systems, in addition to the announcement of the Iraq's Geographic Gate.

  Prof. Dr. Thamir stated "Iraq's geographic gate project is a breakthrough coup for Iraq's progress and keep pace with the developments in the regional and international region, especially that those areas are the foundation for building, assembling and sharing geographic data in various military, agricultural , medical, urban and other specialties".
