Closing of the Al-Aq_sa Flo_od Football Championship at Al-Karkh University of Science

The Al-Aq_sa Flo_od Championship was concluded at Al-Karkh University of Science with football under the patronage of the President of Al-Karkh University of Science, Professor Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kazemi, and with the participation of students from the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics, students from the College of Science, and students from the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences.

The tournament ended with a landslide victory for the students of the College of Science, Department of Medical Physics, with six goals, compared to three goals for the students of the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences, Department of Environmental Science, who won the championship title.

While the Department of Microbiology in the College of Science won third place, winning seven goals, compared to three goals for the Department of Geophysics in the College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics.

Head of the Student Activities Department at the university, Dr. Laila Shawil Hussein, said that the next stage will witness participation in university tournaments and all competitions in a way that contributes to developing students’ sports skills, as well as holding artistic and cultural exhibitions, calling on students to participate in these competitions and exhibitions.
