
In the presence of the President of the University, the Industrial Advisory Council at Al-Karkh University of Science holds its first meeting.
The Advisory Council at Al-Karkh University of Science held its first meeting under the presence of the President of Al-Karkh University of Science, Professor Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kazemi, and the membership of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Louay Kazem Abboud, the deans of colleges, and members of the council, including teachers and academics.
The Council aims to reduce the gap between the educational outcomes of the private sector and to draw and crystallize strategies responsible for managing human resources, as well as developing future plans that contribute to managing the requirements of the labor market through periodic meetings between representatives of universities and colleges and representatives of the labor market.
The University President, Professor Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kazemi, said when he chaired the meeting that the university is “working to develop new strategies to make Al-Karkh University of Science an effective and influential force in Iraqi society,” stressing the need to adhere to solid university norms in Iraqi academic institutions.
The meeting included a discussion of completing the requirements for implementing the Bologna Process, preparing educational outcomes that meet the requirements of the labor market, as well as reviewing curricula, study programs, and scientific research plans, and how to develop policies for administration, modernize curricula, and support research centers.
