
President of Al-Karkh University of Science Holds a Meeting with Heads of Scientific Departments
As part of his efforts to enhance the performance of the university, Prof. Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, President of Al-Karkh University of Science, chaired an extensive meeting attended by the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and the heads of the university’s scientific departments.
The meeting addressed a range of important academic, administrative, and organizational issues, most notably the mechanism for admission to postgraduate studies, general admission for graduates of the Ministry of Education, expansion of admissions, as well as preparations for the upcoming academic year.
The meeting reflected the President’s keenness to follow up on the university’s requirements and ensure early preparations to welcome the new academic year, including the provision of necessary services to ensure student comfort, while also focusing on both administrative and academic excellence. Plans were also set forth to advance academic and administrative performance in parallel.
The President instructed the Departments of Scientific Affairs, Studies and Planning, Registration, and Scholarships to closely follow the relevant regulations and guidelines, which contribute to strengthening the university’s educational standards and achieving the goals of sustainable development.
The meeting also emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination among departments, overcoming challenges, and raising the quality of education in line with academic accreditation standards. The President stressed the need to provide the best possible educational services to students and to ensure regular follow-up for the effective implementation of academic programs.
It is worth noting that this meeting comes as part of a series of regular gatherings organized by the President of the University, reflecting his commitment to advancing academic performance and achieving educational excellence.
