President of Al-Karkh University of Science inaugurates the new building of the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences at the university’s second site in Abu Ghraib
In a move aimed at enhancing the educational infrastructure and supporting scientific research in the field of energy and environment, the President of Al-Kharkh University for Science, Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdul-Amir Al-Kazemi, inaugurated the new building of the College of Energy and Environmental Sciences at the university’s second site in Abu Ghraib, in the presence of the university president’s assistants for administrative and scientific affairs and a number of academic and research figures, in addition to college students and faculty members.
In his speech, the university president, Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdul-Amir Al-Kazemi, expressed his pride in this achievement, noting that the new building will enhance the university’s ability to provide distinguished education in the fields of energy and environment, and allow students and researchers to obtain the latest equipment and facilities necessary to support their studies and research.
The new building includes modern facilities, including classrooms equipped with the latest technologies, research laboratories, and specialized training centers. The interior design is distinguished by a feature that is in line with environmental sustainability standards, reflecting the university’s interest in topics related to environmental conservation and clean technology.
At the end of the ceremony, the university president stressed that this step is part of the university’s long-term strategy to enhance the quality of education and research in priority scientific fields, which form the basis for achieving sustainable development and meeting the needs of society.
