
President of Al-Karkh University of Science Meets with Specialized Committees to Review Achievements in the Digital Transformation Project
Professor Dr. Juma’a Salman Jiyad, President of Al-Karkh University of Science, held an extensive meeting with the central and supporting committees formed within the university to oversee the implementation of the Digital Transformation Project. The meeting focused on reviewing the progress made in developing the Student Information System (SIS) and the Human Resources System (HRS). The session was attended by the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Kazem Hilan Mohsen, alongside deans of colleges, department heads, and directors of registration, student affairs, and human resources.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the stages of the automation project and the achievements accomplished in digitizing administrative and academic data and procedures. These efforts aim to enhance the quality of services provided to students, faculty, and administrative staff.
The university president commended the efforts of the technical and administrative committees in activating the Student Information System (SIS), which will streamline the management of student records from admission to graduation. He also highlighted the Human Resources System (HRS), which has improved administrative workflows and simplified recruitment, evaluation, and periodic data updates.
The meeting also addressed key technical and administrative challenges facing the implementation of these systems. Dr. Jiyad stressed the importance of ongoing coordination with support teams at the Ministry of Higher Education to ensure the project’s success and to overcome obstacles. He affirmed that digital transformation is a strategic step toward advancing the university environment and enhancing institutional performance.
