
President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences Receives Director General of the Military Research and Development Department at the Military Industrialization Authority
The President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences, Professor Juma Salman Jiyad, received Engineer Sadiq Jassim Attia, Director General of the Military Research and Development Department at the Military Industrialization Authority. During the meeting, they discussed the organization of the Industrial Advisory Council’s work and the government program.
The meeting addressed several key topics that contribute to achieving the government program. The meeting included a mechanism for organizing the work of the Industrial Advisory Councils in the university’s colleges, working to define the work of the councils, and the mechanism for concluding scientific cooperation between the university and the Military Industrialization Authority, benefiting from mutual expertise, in accordance with applicable regulations.
The President of the University highlighted the importance of working to build scientific cooperation partnerships at the local and international levels, given their role in achieving the university’s goals of serving the community, which in turn raises the university’s performance and ranking in local and international rankings.
Professor Engineer Sadiq emphasized the role of building local scientific cooperation networks in supporting the culture of entrepreneurship and its close relationship with industrial projects. This involves graduating students with specializations relevant to the labor market, attracting, supporting, and developing the creative ideas of students, graduates, and creative researchers. These ideas can then be transformed into applied projects that contribute to solving problems that serve society.
The meeting concluded with a review of the government program’s implementation axes and the new mechanism used to automate the documentation of university achievements, reducing traditional work procedures and saving time and effort in completing tasks. This is part of the university’s plan to simplify government procedures.
