President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences Receives MP Dr. Yassin Mohammed Al-Ithawi on His Assumption of the Presidency

President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences, Prof. Jumaa Salman Jihad, received in his office the member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Prof. Yassin Mohammed Al-Ithawi. The guest congratulated the President of Al-Karkh University of Sciences on his assumption of the presidency. Dr. Jumaa Jihad welcomed the visit of the MP.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for scientific and academic cooperation and ways to enhance cooperation between the legislative and academic institutions. They also discussed the legislative authority’s efforts to enact laws that serve educational institutions, while preserving the dignity of faculty members and protecting their legitimate rights through joint coordination.

For his part, MP Dr. Yassin Al-Ithawi praised the role of Al-Karkh University of Sciences in providing state institutions with scientific and academic expertise, demonstrating its leadership in scientific disciplines that meet labor market requirements, and its active role in scientific research and its development at both the scientific and practical levels.

Dr. Jumaa Jiyad expressed his thanks and appreciation to the congratulatory representative, noting his continued efforts to enhance the university’s standing, improve the quality of education and scientific research, and position the university among the most advanced universities, both locally and internationally.

At the conclusion of the visit, Representative Dr. Yassin Al-Aithawi presented a bouquet of flowers to the university president, Dr. Jumaa Salman Jiyad, expressing his happiness at this occasion and wishing the university president continued success in leading this young academic institution.
