
The Assistant Dean of the College of Science at the University of Baghdad Participates as a Certified Trainer in the Bologna Process Training Program
As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s efforts to modernize the university education system in accordance with international standards, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdul Anbar, Assistant Dean of the College of Science for Administrative Affairs at Al-Karkh University of Science and a member of the ministerial committee tasked with preparing the Bologna Process Guidelines for Iraqi Universities, participated as a certified trainer in the Bologna Process training program.
This program is one of the key pillars of the Ministry’s plan to align the Iraqi education system with European standards, enhancing the quality of higher education and opening up broader horizons for international recognition of Iraqi degrees.
This participation came as part of the training course held on April 16 and 17, 2025, in Al-Hakim Hall at the University of Baghdad. The target groups on the first day of the program included deans of colleges, academic assistants, student affairs assistants, as well as heads and rapporteurs of academic departments.
Dr. Ahmed Abdul Anbar’s participation confirms the active role played by higher education professionals in the success of this ambitious national project. He contributed by delivering specialized lectures and workshops, covering various topics related to the mechanisms for implementing the new system, developing curricula, and developing university assessment and evaluation methods.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research continues to implement a series of training courses and workshops, with the participation of a select group of experts and members of ministerial committees, as part of preparations for the effective implementation of the Bologna Process in Iraqi universities.
