
The Association of Materials Science and Nanotechnology organizes its First International Exhibition
The Arab Association for Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Iraq branch, one of the associations of the Federation of Arab Research Councils, based in Al-Karkh University of Science, has organized its first international exhibition of patents and scientific posters, as part of its annual activity, and with the support of the Iraqi Society of Engineers, the Research and Development Authority and Al-Karkh University of Science, with a wide academic and scientific presence.
The exhibition included a number of scientific and research lectures in the field of nanotechnology and its applications with the local and international participation of researchers and inventors from France, India, Jordan and Egypt, as well as an exhibition of scientific posters that included inventors and researchers from all Iraqi universities and the Ministry of Health and Oil.
Prof. Dr. Thamer Abdulameer Hasan, Head of the Association for Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Iraq Branch and Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, said in a speech he delivered on behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, that the Association has embarked, since the beginning of its establishment in 2019, to set visions, missions and goals that all serve In sponsoring all scientific activities and at all levels, it sought to provide a specialized scientific environment inclusive of all in order to exchange scientific ideas among the members of the Association.
He added, "We thank all researchers and academics for their participation in our scientific demonstration today, and we also thank the management of the Iraqi Society of Engineers for their exceptional efforts and serious activation of the memorandum of scientific cooperation with the Association, and thanks to all the scientific, preparatory, arbitration, media and support committees".
Dr. Thamer noted that the association seeks to hold an international specialized scientific conference in the field of materials science and nanotechnology in 2023, with greater aspirations and broader international participation.
