The Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science Receives Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail

The Chancellor of Al-Karkh University of Science, Dr. Thamir A. Hassan, received Dr. Qusay Al-Suhail, the former first deputy speaker in the Iraqi parliament and a member of the Preparatory Committee for the First International Conference of Al-Karkh University of Science. The meeting included the discussion of preparations for the conference.

Dr. Thamir said that Al-Karkh University of Science will hold its first international scientific conference for oil exploration, under the title of recent contributions to geophysics techniques and remote sensing in oil explorations.

He added that it is necessary to prepare the best and unite all efforts between the scientific and preparatory committees and the supportive committees in order to achieve the desired goal of the conference.

For his part, Dr. Qusay al-Suhail expressed his happiness with the achievements of Al-Karkh University of Science for the progress at the levels of scientific, academic, architectural and administrative fields. He stressed that the international conference of the university will include several topics, including the nanotechnology in the oil explorations and the themes reflect innovation, as well as multiple topics of specialization.

It is worth mentioning that the first international conference of Al-Karkh University of Science will be centered on the recent contributions of geophysics and remote sensing techniques in oil explorations. The Journal of Oil Research and Studies issued by the Oil Research and Development Center will be approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Oil to evaluate and the accepted research papers of the conference for publication. The accepted papers in the journal will be relied for scientific promotion purposes.
