The Computer Center Organizes Training Courses on Human Resources Management (HRMS) and Improving the Student Information Management System (SIS)
As part of its efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and its relentless efforts to enhance e-services and advance the digital transformation of academic and administrative services provided to the community, the University Computer Center organized a specialized course presented by Lecturer Dr. Samer Qais Jameel, Lecturer Dr. Ammar Issam Mohammed, and Assistant Lecturer Osama Mohammed Nouri. The course was attended by assistant deans, department heads, and technical staff responsible for managing human resources in colleges and operating the Student Information Management System across the university’s various departments. The course was held at the Iraqi Martyrs Hall and Jamal Al-Ibrahimi Hall at the university’s first and second campuses.
The first and second axis of the training course focused on administrative aspects, including managing internal human resources functions such as employee data management, salaries, recruitment, training, and others. The second axis discussed mechanisms for improving the process of selecting program codes within the SIS system, ensuring accurate classification and ease of use. It also examined a number of administrative and technical issues related to student data management and improving the efficiency of both systems.
Participants discussed the current procedures, focusing on adopting a unified methodology for selecting and implementing program codes for managing personnel and academic programs, consistent with the university’s diverse specializations. This ensures the smooth automation of routine processes, guarantees the accuracy of academic and administrative outputs, and saves time and effort.
These training courses represent an extension of Al-Karkh University of Science’s commitment to developing its technological infrastructure and improving the quality of its electronic services, ensuring digital transformation processes toward the automation of administrative work. This is in line with its vision to enhance administrative and academic performance and meet the needs of its members and students alike.
