The Department of Microbiology at the College of Science holds a scientific symposium to discuss “Food Quality”
The College of Science at the University of Karkh held a symposium in the Department of Microbiology entitled: Microbiology assessment of food quality, under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Luay Kazim Abboud, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Jaafar Fadhel Awda.
The symposium, which was held in the central hall of the College of Science, discussed food quality and its exposure to the interference of preservatives, the method of packaging and food safety from biological and chemical risks that affect the health of consumers, and the development of techniques to detect them.
The symposium witnessed the participation and delivery of several lectures by professors and lecturers at the university and other Iraqi universities.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the President of the University and the Dean of the College honored a number of professors participating in the symposium with the Shield of Excellence, and praised the efforts made by them in developing scientific research methods in various life fields.
