
The Faculty of Science at Al-Karkh University of Science Organizes the Second Student Festival for DNA Day
The Faculty of Science at Al-Karkh University for Science organized the second student festival for the DNA Day, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Luay Kazem Abboud, and the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Baraq Yahya Kazem, and with wide student and academic participation.
The festival included scientific lectures, the first by the student Muhammad Haidar on the World DNA Day, and a lecture on the importance of RNA and its role in criminal evidence, presented by Dr. Kazem.
The festival dealt with a lecture presented by the student Ghadir Haidar entitled “Fingerprint” and a lecture on mitochondria presented by the student Tahseen Muhammad.
The festival included the opening of the student, scientific and artistic exhibition and the crime scene, with the participation of a group of students to show how to take evidence and remove it from the crime scene.
The DNA Laboratory was opened, which was equipped with the latest laboratory equipment, and the most important characteristic of the DNA Laboratory is that it is an integrated unit for conducting molecular life sciences research.
