The Media and Government Communication Department organizes a media campaign to update voter information
In response to the directives of the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and under the slogan “Update Your Card… Secure Your Future,” the Media and Government Communication Department at Al-Karkh University of Science organized an awareness campaign targeting all segments of society, especially university staff, faculty, employees, workers, and students. The campaign was organized by the Media and Government Communication Department in cooperation with the Student Activities Department. The campaign included posters raising awareness about the importance of updating voter cards.
The campaign aims to highlight the importance of ensuring voter rights and preventing the wasting of their right to elect their representatives in the House of Representatives and provincial council elections, as well as preventing their exploitation by weak-willed and corrupt candidates in the upcoming elections.
The campaign also included conducting dialogues and raising awareness with students at their rest areas and university campuses about the necessity of updating their voter cards. This campaign serves as a patriotic weapon for participating in the parliamentary elections and selecting trustworthy representatives in the legislative and executive authorities, which contribute to building the country. It also instills awareness among students about the importance of participating in the upcoming parliamentary elections.
The Media Department is scheduled to continue its campaign for the next several days, including additional activities. These include awareness seminars and workshops presented by specialists, discussing the topic of election participation. The goal is to provide faculty, staff, and students with deeper insights into the consequences of not participating, including the loss of their rights and the rights of others, as well as the rise of corrupt individuals to power.
